Phase 3: Real-World Data Entry (The Numpad)

If you want to clear government typing exams, work in accounting, or do rapid data entry, you cannot rely on the top number row. You must master the Numeric Keypad (Numpad) on the right side of your keyboard.

Finding the Anchor: Just like the 'F' and 'J' keys, the number '5' on the numpad has a small bump. This is the home key for your right middle finger.

🖐️ The 10-Key Finger Assignments

• Index Finger: Controls the left column (1, 4, 7).
• Middle Finger: Controls the middle column (2, 5, 8).
• Ring Finger: Controls the right column (3, 6, 9) and the Decimal Point (.).
• Thumb: Rests entirely on the wide Zero (0) key.
• Pinky: Handles the Enter key on the far right.

📝 How to Pass This Lesson
